Welcome to Auckland Sales (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website at aucklandsales.co (the “Site”) and your purchase of wheels, rims, and automotive accessories and parts (“Products”) from us. By accessing the Site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. About Us
Auckland Sales is a registered business in New Zealand
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or purchasing with the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order on the Site. By placing an order, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Product Information
We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, images, pricing, and availability on the Site are accurate and current. However:
- Product images are for illustrative purposes and may differ slightly from the actual item due to lighting, screen settings, or manufacturer updates.
- Wheels, rims, and accessories vary widely between vehicle makes, models, and years. Bolt patterns, offsets, centre bore, load ratings, and sizing must be independently verified by you (or a qualified installer) against your specific vehicle before purchase and before installation. We are not liable for parts that are incompatible with your vehicle due to fitment error where the correct specifications were made available prior to purchase.
- We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions, and to change or update information at any time without prior notice.
4. Orders and Acceptance
- Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order for any reason, including stock unavailability, pricing errors, or suspected fraudulent activity.
- Order confirmation emails indicate that we have received your order; they do not guarantee acceptance until the item has shipped.
- We reserve the right to limit order quantities per customer or per household.
5. Pricing and Payment
- All prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.
- Shipping, delivery, and any applicable duties or taxes are additional unless stated otherwise at checkout.
- We reserve the right to change prices at any time. The price applicable to your order is the price displayed at the time of checkout.
- Payment must be received in full before an order is dispatched, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. All payments are processed through secure third-party payment gateways; we do not store full payment card details.
6. Shipping and Delivery
- Estimated delivery times are provided as a guide only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to courier issues, stock availability, or circumstances outside our control.
- Risk in the Products (including risk of loss or damage) passes to you upon delivery to the address provided at checkout.
- It is your responsibility to ensure someone is available to receive large or heavy items such as wheel sets, which may require signature or freight-specific delivery arrangements.
- Additional freight charges may apply for rural addresses, oversized items (e.g. full wheel and tyre packages), or redelivery due to a failed delivery attempt.
7. Installation and Use
- Our Products, including wheels, suspension components, and other performance or safety-related parts, should be installed by a qualified and licensed mechanic or workshop unless you have the relevant expertise and equipment.
- We are not responsible for damage, injury, or loss arising from incorrect installation, use outside of the manufacturer’s intended purpose, or failure to follow supplied instructions.
- Some products (e.g. wheel spacers, off-road or track-spec wheels, forced-induction accessories) may affect your vehicle’s warranty, WOF/COF (Warrant/Certificate of Fitness) compliance, or insurance. It is your responsibility to check compliance with NZTA rules and your insurer before purchase and installation.
8. Consumer Guarantees
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude any rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986, which apply where you are acquiring goods as a consumer. Where you are acquiring goods for business purposes, you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply, to the extent permitted by law.
9. Returns and Refunds
Our approach to returns, exchanges, and refunds is set out in our separate Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, and product descriptions — is owned by or licensed to Auckland Sales and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Site or purchase of Products is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant Product.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including loss of profits, loss of use, or vehicle downtime, arising from your use of our Products or Site.
- We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
Nothing in this clause limits any liability that cannot be excluded under New Zealand law.
12. Third-Party Links and Services
The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as payment processors or couriers) that are not owned or controlled by us. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party sites.
13. Account Security
If you create an account on the Site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect once posted on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
